    Aug 2005 - Kathy & Daisy Win big                Nov 2004 - Winter's Coming

Congratulations go to Kathryn Alden riding her 7 year old black Appendix Quarter Horse mare, Calypso Cruise. She has won the 2005, 2006 & 2007  Blue Star Farm Dressage Championship at training,  level I and level II.

On winning her first championship, Alden, who has successfully competed in many Western Pleasure and Hunter events, commented "This win was particularly gratifying given that this is my first year of dressage competition. I want to thank Nancy Briggs and my coach Chris Young for their invaluable help in making my first year of showing dressage so successful".  In 2007 with the help of her Andi Boylen she secured the Level 1 championship and never looked back.

Both horse and rider were in excellent form for their first September 11th finale.  Top tests scores earned them the Training Level "Champion of the Day" award and sufficient points to secure the 2005 season championship.

Winter's around the corner

First there's the fall colours, and then comes winter.   How drab it is, even the horses coat colour looks drab in the winter. Secret and Scorp, who will be staying home this year, have  been looking through their photo album from 2005.  Well at least there are no flies or mosquitoes around.

Well we all know how cold it can get, so it's nice to know  that  they're looking out for each other
