Part Boarding, What's it all about?
Sometimes
referred to as share boarding, this is a great and very economical way to be
able to ride a pleasant well mannered and trained horse.
At Windquest you choose the number of times you would like to ride in a week and
the day(s) and time of day you think you would like to ride. You do not have to use these times,
but they will be reserved for you
alone. Should you miss your reserved time for whatever reason, you can
reschedule your ride at another time using our online (Google) calendaring
system. A riding time is considered to
be an approximately 2 hour period in either the morning, afternoon or evening.
This is generally governed by the feeding schedule which is sunrise, midday &
sunset. We now offer three programs, 1 reserved ride time per week
(weekdays only) at $120 per month and 2 reserved ride times per week at $160 per month. For those of you who are exceptionally keen, we also offer a program giving you three reserved ride times per week for an all inclusive
price of $200 per month. Note that in all cases this is the total all inclusive
price, There are no other fees and you are not required to take lessons although
they are available.
As you probably already know, boarding your own horse in a stable in this area costs
a minimum of $400 to as much as $700.00 per month or more. Of course vet, farrier or blacksmithing
fees, blanketing, tax(es if the harmonized legislation goes through) and goodness knows what all, are in addition to that.

be assigned a particular horse which will essentially be "your" horse. You may
ride unaccompanied or with other part boarders as you wish. We offer a
month trial and if we're all happy then we expect you to commit
for the riding season which we consider to be the six months from May to October inclusive.

We supply the tack, English or Western or you're welcome to use your own. For the most part our horses
are happy to be
ridden English or Western. We do, at the moment, have a rider weight limit of
180lbs (81 Kilograms or for you English folk, 14 1/2 Stones).
All we require from you is that you:
